About Singletrack Addict Women's Mountain Bike

About

There’s nothing quite like seeing the smile on a rider’s face when she rides a section of trail she didn’t think was possible - all to the sounds of encouragement & celebration from other women in the group.

Our passion is empowering women to be curious, playful and confident on their bikes, and building a strong and fun community of female riders on the Western Slope.

About Singletrack Addict Fundamentals-MTB

The Fundamentals

In our all-women skills clinics, you’ll learn and practice the fundamentals of mountain biking - whether this is your first time on a mountain bike or you want to huck yourself off 12-foot drops.

Our coaches help you find that sweet spot of pushing your limits just enough to grow and progress, but stopping short of frustration or fear.

Because progression, not perfection, is the goal.

Skills & Confidence

In our all-women mechanic clinics, you’ll learn how to maintain and service your own bike from our female mechanics (no mansplaining!). Even if you never work on your own bike after the clinic, having the knowledge of how it all works will make you a more confident rider.

Singletrack Addict Mechanic Clinic with Jen

We are 100% committed to creating a safe, welcoming, non-competitive and fun environment for all women/femme riders.  No matter your identity, skill-level, body shape, race, or anything else, we look forward to welcoming you into our riding community!

About Singletrack Addict Jen

Jen Sawyer (she/her)

I’ve been mountain biking for 30+ years, but only doing it well for about 3.  Like so many women, I learned to ride by imitating the guys I tried so desperately to keep up with. It wasn’t until I attended an all-women’s skills camp with Ladies AllRide that I actually learned the fundamental skills that made riding so much more fun. That camp was personally transformative in so many ways, and sparked my mission to bring that level of empowerment and joy to other women.

In 2023-2024, I spent a year on the road, traveling from the high elevation of Colorado to the hills of Arkansas; shredding bike parks in Montana, Wyoming & British Columbia; riding the dark, lush forests of the Pacific Northwest; and tackling the technical desert terrain of Arizona & Utah, all to hone my skills and teaching techniques on every type of terrain. I also spent a month training at the United Bicycle Institute in Oregon, learning how to fix my own damn bike.  (As much fun as all the shredding was, learning how to adjust my own derailleur might have been the most empowering moment of the trip!)

In this “third act” of my life, my mission is to bring that level of empowerment and joy to as many women/femmes as I can – on the bike, in our community, and fixing your own damn bike.

About Singletrack Addict Jill

Jill Douglas (she/they)

I have over 20 years of experience as an outdoor educator working with diverse populations from at-risk youth to corporate groups, the last ten of which were as a guide and program coordinator for REI.

Much of my recent work has been focused on community building, getting women outdoors and giving back to my local communities through volunteer work. I’ve been visiting the mountains of Colorado for many years, but when the opportunity came to move here from the East Coast, I packed up my life and headed west.

I am passionate about sharing and exposing others to the outdoors through mountain biking, bike packing and rock climbing. My personal passions are getting into the mountains, going long on trails and bike packing adventures.
